Sports Day 2007.
The best sports day of my life! I was a little stressed over it for the past one month, I'm sure the other committee members were too. Good job everyone.
All right, so maybe Tolley didn't get the championship, but we tried our best. And our efforts were not futile. THIRD PLACING FOR TOLLEY!
Main point is: We didn't get last.
Cheer cup. No doubt we deserved/wanted it, considering the amount of effort we put in. The late nights. The non-stop practices.
However, Cooke was good. Their presentation, their costume, their ability to engage the crowd. They truly deserved it in the end.
Thanks Tolley. For just shouting, shouting and shouting non-stop.
Thanks runners. For putting up a good fight.
Thanks my cheerleaders. For having the best routine in the world.
Thanks teachers, for helping us with issues that require your help.
I ran in the 4x100m relay for sec4/5s together with my wonderful team. Sheryl, Gamar and Shahira. Thanks guys for being able to trust me. You guys just ROCK. "Win or lose, NO REGRETS."
"We'd most likely lose," we thought. It was as good as placing yourself in a room full of bees, and hoping not to get stung!
"Bang!" A few more seconds until the first runner comes and passes me the baton..
"UP!" I raised my hand and grabbed the baton, and off I went.
"Nat, don't let your team down." I managed to catch up by say 1m from Fearon. If our baton passing had been much better, we would have a chance of getting third place.
No prizes for guessing. Tolley came in last for that event.
We still got third placing in the end. Well, only because one team got disqualified. What went through my head at that point of time was just "HAVE GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP."
If I were in their shoes, I'd definitely be disappointed. Having to own up that you cut a lane sucks. I think I'd understand that quite clearly. It's deja vu of secondary one for me. And also having to cause your entire team disqualified sucks too.
Guilt, anger, fear, embarrassment, regret. It all starts to sink it. All I wish to say is, thank you. Thank you for being the honest people that I love.
Headed down to Vivo with Nicolle, Gushi, Tracy, Alicia and Joy. Ate at Yoshinoya (: and Ben&Jerrys! Whoo.
Had crap loads of fun. I wish I had picturessss. I hate not being able to photo blog. With my cam and phone both down, my entertainment time had just cut down by HALF.
CHOIR CAMP TOMORROW. I wish I fell sick NOW.
