Another Great SS Lesson!
We had Social Studies (SS) lessons today, and contrary to popular belief, SS is NOT THAT BORING AFTER ALL.
Delving into the topic of housing, 4e6's going to have a 'mission' on Friday (probably next week) and we're going to evaluate the surroundings of Farrer Road estate -the one right beside Farrer Road Market and by the way, they sell really great beancurd- and come to conclusions.
These conclusions would include the proving of hypotheses that we come up with "The HDB meet the changing needs of the society esp. the elderly" to simple ones such as "The surrounding environment in HDB estates allow social cohesion and mingling to take place."
This is what I call learning beyond textbooks.
I better start practicing my Hokkien, WHAT IF I bump into a friendly senior citizen who speaks only Hokkien?
Le jia ba buay? (Have you eaten already?)
Ai lim zhui mai? (Do you want to drink some water?)
