Last post of 2006!

I just realised I've yet to come up with resolutions for 2007.
My aunt said, "MAKE A FUN RESOLUTION!"

So I'm guessing that my resolution would be "PLAY, SHOP AND STUDY!"

That's like 2/3 fun = 66.66% = B3 = Bad.

Let's add one more fun thing in.
PLAY, SHOP, MINISTRY, STUDY!

That's like 3/4 fun = 75% = A1 = Just nice.

Today has been boring laaaaaaa. I NEED MORE FUN.
According to Nathalie's calendar. There's only 265 days in a year!
-.-
LMAO.

Oh yes.
When I grow older, I'll make sure I become Minister of Transport.
Make sure that all MRT services terminate at 2am. All Bus services to end at 3am.
And on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, all public transportation will NOT cease.

I'm off now. Going to church. And this will be my last post for 2006!
A lame random post.
"GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE!"

New year = New clothes
New year = New phone! (:

A Reason, A Season And A Life Time

by Brian A. "Drew" Chalker

People always come into your life for a reason,
a season and a lifetime. When you figure out
which it is, you know exactly what to do.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is
usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly
or inwardly. they have come to assist you through
a difficulty, or to provide you with guidance and
support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or
even spiritually. They may seem like a godsend to you
and they are. They are there for the reason that you
need them to be. Then without any wrond doing on your part
or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do soemthing
to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they
act up or out and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met,
our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The
prayer you sent up has been answered and it's now
time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it
is because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They may bring you an experience of peace or make you
laugh. They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season. And
like Spring turns to Summer, and Summer to Fall,
the season eventually ends.

LIFETIME, relationships teach you a lifetime of lessons;
those things you must build upon in order to have a
solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the
lesson, love the person/people(anyway);, and put what
you have learned to use in all your other relationships
and areas in your life. It is said that love is blind
but friendship is clairvoyant. Thank you for
being part of my life.....

HMMM. Which is nicer?
YOU CHOOSE.
YOU DECIDE.

Personally, I think we have a nation full of desperate people who puts PRIDE and "FACE" above everything else.
LOVE HERE LOVE THERE.
OMGOD.
We need to improve the situation.

I understand that teens need/want love at this age. But will it last?
My stand: LET IT PASS.

You want a boyfriend so that "you can call it your own and not feel left out". Like GET A LIFE.
Is that what a boyfriend means to you?
I THINK WHAT YOU NEED IS A BRAIN.

And I also saw this post:
"I am ashamed of my race. I hate being Chinese. Chinese people are dirty, uncouth and without class. I feel so inferior when I'm among my white American friends. I wish I were born as a Caucasian."

AND MY SECRET?

Thank Yous!

There are a few people I would love to thank, and I shall use the excuse of "It's New Year time therefore I'm reflecting..."

Keith.
Haha. For being a SLAVE to me! Mwahah.

Elvie! <3
For always being there although I'm an idiot la. And PMS-ing also.
EEEEE. I will love you forever.
YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH YOU MEAN TO ME. (Eh, I won't lie about such stuff ah.)

Massing Clique.
What would I do without you guys man.
Haha. I would do something else of course!! But you all ROCKKKK.

Sam! <3

For being the greatest fun PL ever!
And I'm always cheered up by you.

Ian.
For the encouragement.
Haha. Seriously, by looking at you, I know I'll live through all this shit.

Marcus.
For being the greatest actor in the world.
And the best crapper.

Eugene.
For being the racist thing you are. And always being hell-loads-of-fun.
Haha. And also for being the greatest CO FACILITATOR around.

Melvin.
BITCH SOMEMORE. I kill you.
Seriously. I LOVE HAVING YOU AROUND.

And I know I missed out a lot of people la! Can I say I'm lazy and just type out a string of names now...
Errol, for being the idiot you are.
Hansel, for always speaking so wisely.
Amanda,
Joanne,
Edwin T(haha, dont be surprised to see your name here),
Chloe,
Sean,
Daohui, for loving me for who I am.
Weekee,
EVERYONE from Amplify, Legion and Curia
EVERYONE from CJC J1 Retreat and SJC Confi Camp
All my STC and SMSS mates,
Everyone from Lumen Christi Chorus.

I think knowing that knowing each and everyone of them was God's plan.
And God's plan is perfect.

Which makes you regret more?
Doing something or not doing something? MY ANSWER: NOT DOING SOMETHING.

There's one thing which I have regretted not doing this year...
Letting go of my problems. And probably sharing them with trustable ones.
I think I just drove myself mad la. But oh well. I just didn't want to burden anyone with this shit.

And there is one thing I have NOT regretted doing. Engaging myself in ministry work. The joy I'm feeling right now is just A LITTLE BIT of what I'll get in God's kingdom. Imagine how great the joy is!!

2006. The old go and the new come. However, there is just some stuff I cant let go of.
This year has definitely been a bomb!! The best one in fact. (Considering that I've only lived for 15 years, there isn't much to choose from.)

Just today at Fork&Spoons at Toa Payoh, there was a random question. "Do you believe in world peace?"
Following that question... "Do you believe you can change the world?"

BE THE CHANGE.

I read Ian's blog and he said,
"i would say we're different people every year.
we change so much in the span on just one year."
How true. I looked at my 2003 archives, and I was shocked about how self-obsessed I was. But it was funny.
Comparing myself from last time to now. I wish I had the confidence I had then, and I wish I could keep up my desire to BE THE CHANGE now.

Over the past year, I would daresay that I've grown A LOT more patient and willing to do things and I'm also not so hot tempered any longer.

Goodbye 2006.
You've definitely been a year I enjoyed and LEARNT a lot from.
Thank you God for providing me with SO MANY opportunities to learn from.

And thank you iwantamoment, you've provided me with the space and freedom to let me RANT, SHARE, and most of all LEARN.

Hello 2007!
Hello commitments. OH YES, Hello SCHOOL!

WELCOME BACK ELVIE AND EDWIN! :D
Oh yes, who's free to go to a countdown party at Marina tmr!!!

Anti-Dieting

Haha, I just feel like ranting on about why girls/women shouldn't diet.

Haha. Heck about the guys today. Who cares if they live or die right! Actually, not that I don't care, it's just that it's a very rare sight to see guys suffering from Anorexia Nervosa or Bulimia Nervosa.

*I shall use the term 'we' to refer to women who diet. Of course I don't diet. I'll just miss out on all the great food.

At the beginning of the 21st Century, we live in a world that has seen an upheaval in consciousness concerning the position of women. Yet, despite dramatically changed views and expanded lifestyles, many women still place dieting and body shaping ahead of life shaping and world shaping on their lists of New Year's resolutions. Once again, we are planning to spend billions of our dollars trying to transform our natural shapes.

(Note: New year is coming, try not to say "I want to lose 20 kg by ___[whatever month]". Seriously stupid I would say.)

Yet, here we are again. The idealized image is meaner and leaner and younger than ever. The tabloids scrutinize our Hollywood icons to see who has lost and who has gained. The doctors hawk their programs, vying for space on bestseller lists. And many of us are ready to die for all those new pills and surgeries.

We believe that the pressure to diet and bodyshape is part of the ongoing backlash against the changes in the status of women. It seems that the more space we occupy in the world, the more pressure there is to reduce ourselves. The larger our presence, the narrower and more childlike the idealized images become. What exactly is so wrong with us the way we are in our great, infinite variety?

Women today suffer deeply from a condition we describe as "Bad Body Fever."

It goes like this: Millions of us wake up every morning, make our way into the bathroom to shower, look in the full-length mirror and say, "Yuck!" Every moment of every hour of every day, millions of us of all shapes, sizes and ages utter some variation of the phrase "I feel fat." (Sounds familiar?)

A woman may catch a glimpse of herself reflected in a shop window and gasp, "God! My stomach is huge." She may be daydreaming while waiting for an appointment only to find herself thinking that her thighs are disgusting. Or she may be walking to her car when she suddenly feels huge. These "fat feelings" – bad body feelings – occupy the minds and hearts of the vast majority of women and even little girls.

each time a woman says, "I feel fat," she is saying, "There is something wrong with me." She is feeling self-hatred and self-contempt. Sadly, her subsequent heroic efforts to transform her shape never impact the source of her real problem – her lack of sense of belonging in the world.

Sometimes we wonder what would happen if women simply stopped having these bad body thoughts. What would happen if each time you made a self-abusive remark about how you look, you let the reproach go, challenged your thinking – "Who says there is such a thing as a perfect thigh?" – and instead focused on whatever you were thinking about before you made the thought-detour to your body.

Just imagine the $60 billion diet industry crumbling, taking several others along with it! What would we do with all that time on our hands? Imagine how we would use all the energy! The possibilities dazzle!!!! REALLY! :D :D :D

As a start, let's scratch all references to achieving an unreal body shape from our list of resolutions. This year, let's resolve to stop the dieting that has become such a life-long, life-draining preoccupation and instead embrace and enjoy our bodies in all their diversity. Let's happily reclaim our appetites, our bodies and our lives!! WHEEE!

SORRY. Long post. I just had to say it! New year's coming. And everyone's drawing up their "New Year's Resolution list", I don't really want people to put "LOSE __KG" on the top of that list.

However, please note that having a HEALTHY AND BALANCED LIFESTYLE IS COMPLETELY NECESSARY. Eating everything you see isn't the best way to go anti-dieting.

What I learnt this Christmas.

Christmas doesn't end after celebrating for 12 days.
Christmas ends on the 2nd of Feb. The day of the Presentation of the Lord.

2nd of Feb has a lot of meaning to me. It's the day I got baptised as a Catholic.
I don't know who out there is against cradle-catholicism, but I'm glad I'm a cradle-Catholic.

Come 2/2/2007. I would have been a Catholic for 15 years. YAY!
Make sure you wish me, it's my SECOND BIRTHDAY.

Anyway.
Christmas kinda rocked and sucked this year.

Rocked because of generosity of people I received.
I received:
1. CLINIQUE HAPPY for Women. WHEE. Totally nice fragrance alrights.
2. A totally cool shade of Orange towel.
3. Body wash! Rose flavoured. Haha. I wonder why they put there flavour when you can't eat it. It's my favourite scent by the way (:
4. Earrings.
5. Nail Polish.
6. Cards from Edwin Tan, Regina, Rachel, Bradley, Hansel and Reuban.

HOPE TO GET MORE :P

Sucked becuase the family always screws up we gather together. Fight fight fight. As if there's nothing better to do.
And it's always on special days that are very meaningful to me that I'm totally heart-broken.

If there's one thing I believe in. It's LOVE, and PEACE.
Haiz. I always say I want to change the world. Why can't I even change the way my family lives. BLEAH.

On a less depressing note...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I think this Christmas has been one I learnt a lot from although I wasn't spiritually prepared for it.
Have you learnt anything this Christmas? If not, just THANK GOD that He has come into this world, and has lived to die for us.

BTW. Want to know what I learnt this christmas?

Always GIVE, and make sure to receive. We can't keep giving and not receive at all, because at the end of the day, everything is a 'two way traffic' thing.
Which is why accidents always happen frequently at ONE WAY roads isn't it?

It's been long since I last used colour for my posts.

THE GREATEST COMPLIMENT EVER!

What is the best compliment that you have ever received in your life?

That you're HOT?
That you're PRETTY/ HANDSOME?
That you're GOOD AT SOMETHING?
That you're HOLY?
That you're SMART?

Haha. I just received mine a few days ago..

That I sing just like CORRINNE MAY!

WHEEEEE!
You have no idea how happy I am.
I just need to create my own style. Improve improve improve on my music, and there I go. I'll be on the covers of CDs. With photoshopped images that probably won't even look like me anymore.

Aunt Agony

THANKS JON.
FOR BEING AUNT AGONY.

Talking to someone older (uncle) actually makes me feel like I'll live through everything.

Curia and AGR.

Curia and AGR today.
OMG. I nearly died. REALLY. I thought it would be just like any AGR and Curia.

Happens that I had a really long bus ride before that, and I was just feeling so MOTION SICK.. That it lasted till AFTER rosary ended. That's about 30 minutes?
Rosary was PURE TORTURE. Jon Sim was leading the rosary so slowly!! (Sorry Jon if you're reading this!! But I really couldn't take it. I wanted to just die.)

Games were okay, I was still feeling not too well. So I didn't run out when they called for ONE for dog and bone.

Praise and worship...
I thought they were performing more than leading a praise and worship session????
TSK.

Went to J8 after that to get a few presents. And guess what? I realised that my camera is spoilt again! BLOODYMOFO!! AH! FFFFFF.
I swear I'm gonna get a new camera sooon. F***ing retarded.
BLEAHBLAEAHBLEAHEABLEAH.

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve. And I'm super super excited. I dont know why. But this year I dont seem to be close to my church at all. Blah. Can't even decide which mass I'm attending.

Haha.
This pretty much seems like a post that I would post in sec one. Haha. Under influence of my sec one brother.
SO KE AI!

Can't wait to wear my new dress! Should take a picture of it soon. It's seriously NICE!!! AHHH.

OH YES!!! I've received something beyond my wildest imagination!!!
I've received the Edusave Scholarship 2006. Yay. Fourth year in a row. :D :D :D
Haha, I never thought that after transferring to St. Marg's from STC, I would stand a chance to receive this award which provides me with $500 to buy more clothes!

GOODIE. On the 8th of Jan, I would get a new camera! Hurray! And maybe more clothes.
I'm a shop-a-holic. YAY!

THIS IS FOR YOU EDWIN!
BYE BYE!
Come back safe!

Carolling at St. Luke's Hospital

Oh yes. We went carolling today (technically yesterday since I'm blogging this after 12mn). From morning till lunch, and after lunch till about early evening at St. Luke's Hospital.
Then we headed down to esplanade to catch the ACJC choir, and then down to Plaza Sing to perform some carols.

Most of us though that the carolling at PS would def be better, but it turned out otherwise.

During the hospital carolling, I saw so many old people, who were bed-ridden. SO MANY.
And when we talked to them, some of them didn't respond, but it's not because they're "dao", it's probably because they are stroke patients.

I think if we have observed enough, the patients might have responded with a lift of the finger, but we being so ignorant about everything that's going on around us, we might have not seen that lift at all. But do you realise that that might have been the most they could do to respond to us?
Stroke patients are unable to control facial muscles, so they might not tear or smile, but inside they are responding more than you can ever imagine.

And actually, I learnt today that through a person's eyes, you can tell what they're feeling. I knew that long ago (or I just HEARD of it), but I actually experienced it today.

Wrapping 10 bottles of Axe Oil seemed pretty much of a chore to me before this visit. However, when I handed out these bottles of Axe Oil and just giving them a handshake, that human touch, I felt the real joy of Christmas flowing through them into me.
Talking about "human touch", I think everyone requires it. We shouldn't see an old person, and immediately think of 'sour', 'unclean' or even 'eeew'. They can't help it righttt?
Even as a child, our mothers hugged us, gave us kisses, carried us in their arms.
Haha. Okay, I might not be making sense here, but what I'm driving at is, give the old folks a SMILE, that touch.

At the debrief, the person in charge of volunteers told us that we managed to touch the senior folks. And I did feel the same way too.
However, I think I received so much more than I gave. We ministered to them, and likewise, we were ministered to.

It was a great experience. Really, carolling and singing for others never felt this good. I've finally found a good use for my God-given talent for singing.

Won't elaborate much on the carolling at Orchard, I felt that everything was so superficial, I didn't get the real meaning of Christmas to them. Oh well, this isn't a failed attempt at carolling, it's just that this method doesn't work in Orchard.

"BE THE CHANGE!"
I've been thinking about this for quite sometime already, and I have decided that this post will be the most suitable to announce that this will be my mission for life.
If you've known already, "Patience is a virtue"is my motto.

I sound like a school eh? Motto, Vision, Mission. Haha. I shall continue searching for my vision. See what strikes me, see what suits me, and see what is within my limits. Of course, I can always stretch my limits can't I?

Tridentine Mass

Just in case doesn't know what the hell I'm talking about for the Tridentine Mass. It was so beautiful even the Father cried during the sermon.
WOW.

All right, and so I wore a veil and attended mass today. It felt good actually.
But I doubt I'll wear it for subsequent masses though.

And the next time there'll be a Tridentine mass, I'd probably be in Uni or something. OH MAN.
At least there's the experience implanted in my memory. :D

The blessing of the bread isn't done facing the congregation, it's done with the priest's back facing us.
The servers are cool okay! They can really stay still and not fidget.

It's sad, because the grandeur of today's mass has been lost... And everyone treats mass like play time now. ):

Autograph Books

Ever heard of "Autograph Books"? I'm pretty sure everyone has at least one or maybe even thought of starting one. Well, I had four in primary school.

I was packing my stuff to get ready for Christmas (I like to have a neat and clean table for Christmas). And hidden away deep inside my drawer, I happened to see a powerpuff girl book, I decided to read the contents and it was HILARIOUS!

There were friendship charts, poems, favourite friends, hated friends, messages which were so corny. And in the end of the day, we didn't hate each other, just found each other irritating or nice... That's all.
Ahh, the innocence of childhood.

These were the four auto graph books I had from Primary 3 to Primary 6. I used the Powerpuff Girls autograph book in Primary 3, the heart shaped thingy autograph in Primary 4, the sheep in primary 5, and the wooden one in Primary 6.

Oh yes, the picture you see above, is actually a picture of my message to all the people who would write in my autograph book. I was actually "holy" in primary 4. Allow me to tell you what it says because I think you'll go blind trying to read it (all the glittery pen inks)...

"Dear Everybody,
U all are nice people, and may u be guided by GOD all of ur lives n MAY GOD BLESS U."

Oh wow.

We even had these friendship chart thingys. I'm sure that person writing for me didn't like me 100%. (She put it there only because she was writing in my book.)

I was seriously GOOD man, I even got the principal to write for me!! :D
It says "Kellock Loves You." at the end! Haha. Oh, how sweet.

I've been reading a book for the past 5 years, however I'm still not done with it.
It's a red hard cover book. I think some of you might have seen it before....
It has been my bed time story book for the past few months. Good stuff.

I PRESENT TO YOU.... THE LEGION OF MARY HANDBOOK!

BE THE CHANGE!

Mahatma Ghandi once said:
"You must be the CHANGE you wish to see in the world."

And yes. I've always wanted to change the world.
An over achiever you think?

"Somewhere, somehow, someone out there will change the world.
Why not you?"
I always tell myself that.

The few things I want to change is the way people look at elderly and the not so bright kids.
I guess I've always dealt with them that this soft spot for them in me has grown.

Another major thing I want to change is the way protestants look at us Catholics. Not that I want to conver them or anything, just to let them know that we are NOT MARY WORSHIPPERS.

We're just Mary honour-ers.

Okay, this wasn't the interesting post.
LATER LATER. PROMISE!

Oh yes, I've got a few new songs on my Jukebox.

Muse, Queen of the Damned (THEY ROCK!), The Eagles, Little Richard, Shania Twain, George Michael and Toto.

NOTE: My taste IS NOT ANCIENT.

Tridentine Mass

OH WOW!!
Today's Traditional Latin Mass (Tridentine Mass) was AWESOME!!
The liturgy was done in Gregorian Chant, and WOW, it was just WOW!
(Only the homily was done in English.)

Instead of the priest facing the congregation and transubstantiating the Eucharist, his backed faced us. Which meant that we didn't really get to hear the entire BLESSING.

Most of the time, the congregation shut up, only the "SCHOLA" sings the 'chants'.
And when it comes to the "Thanks be to God part" after every reading, only the servers respond.
OH YES, and one of the servers have to actually stand behind the priest throughout the entire Gospel and homily.
The mass was just different. VERY NICE. VERY VERY NICE.

Tomorrow will be the last day for this month's Tridentine Mass. 7pm at St. Joseph's church (Victoria Street: Walking distance from Bugis MRT). PLEASE DO TRY TO ATTEND. It's seriously something you don't want to miss!!!

I love St. Joseph's church. The olden, traditional, church-y look. Statues everywhere, high ceiling, a totally cool main altar, a communion rail, pews which look very traditional.

AHHH. I will definitely not miss it tomorrow man. Okay. I sound like a big fan of it. I AMM! :D

You know what? I really wish I were a guy. I could do so many things I wanted to.
1. Go to SJI.
2. Join the brotherhood.
3. Be a metrosexual.
4. Keep short hair and actually shave it.

Then again, being a girl gives me a reason to have many clothes. That's the only thing I guess.
Girls in schools aren't allowed to have short spikey hair, and they can't wear pants which makes sitting down so difficult. AHHH.
I'm not bung/butch btw. Just in case anyone is reading my blog for the first time.

I've been thinking much about what happens after I'm gone. And how I can make a difference to the people around me...
And this sentence from 'Tuesdays with Morrie' struck me.
"Love is how you stay alive, even after you are gone."
Love. Haha, yes. Oh yes. I'm not talking about love love, but more of community love. Like being able to love each other as brothers and sisters of Christ.

X-mas instead of Christ-mas?

DEAR PEOPLE.

Would anyone kindly get me a pretty organiser for 2007?

Love,
Nat.

I WANT I WANT I WANT.
Haha. I shall go down to borders tmr, just check out the organisers and manga.

All I want for Christmas is a DATE.
Actually, that's not all.
I want money.
I want presents.
I want a new phone.
I want more clothes.

And most of all.
I want Jesus.

I think I know why the media commercialises it as X-MAS. WHY?
Cuz they don't focus on Christ. They focus on the 'fun' aspect of Christmas. The celebrate his birthday, without even acknowledging him as the birthday boy.

CHRIST-MAS... (If you take away CHRIST, it becomes..)
X-MAS.

That was just a thought for all you readers out there.
6 days to my King's birthday! :D

Remember, a pretty oraganiser for 2007/2008 :D

Why - Nicole Nordeman

Beautiful. Just Beautiful.

Headed down to church to rehearse for our AGR (Annual General Reunion) item.
It wasn't VERY productive, but still good.

Dear Legion of Mary members! Please meet in Blessed Sacrament Church at 1140hrs on 23rd December 2003! Don't be late. If not you'll have to go all the way to St. Patrick's School on your own. Sad isn't it??
I'm somewhat looking forward to AGR, however I'm so tired I just feel like locking myself up at home and completing all my homework.

I like this song!!
So She Dances - Josh Groban

Changi Chalet K.

Enjoying Christmas with Senior Folks

OMG! Today was a blast!!!
I had so much F-U-N with the senior folks of Toa Payoh.
Seeing them responding so well, and just seeing them SMILE warms my heart.

I'm really proud of myself. I gave the most sincere smiles and hugs and handshakes that I've given in my entire Missions Life. Personally, most of the time, I would hold back a little about giving them my love. However, after Hospi Team's AGM, I totally understand what it's like to love those you do not know.

AND I LOVE THE FEELING.

Also, I would love to thank the people in the skit, for you guys being able to work within such a short time frame, and yet producing great results!

This is totally great stuff mann.
Winston, Francis, Ignatius, Nathalie, Cheryl.
Beng, Nerd, Teacher, Lian, Vain Pot (respectively)
THE BACK TO SCHOOLERS!

I'm LIAN? I ALWAYS had this 'inner-lian' that everyone neglects.Love you amplifiers!! :D

By the way. They had this really nice cake. And I couldn't resist taking a picture of it!
WHEEE. The icing is GREATTTT.

Annual General Meeting for Amplify Hospitality

Had Amplify's Annual General Meeting (AGM) yesterday at 12nn. However, smart me OVERSLEPT, and I had to take a cab down from Queen's Close all the way to Upper Serangoon Road.
I got another discount from the taxi driver! Haha, it appears that I have all the chemistry anyone can have with TAXI DRIVERS.
He didn't charge me the extra two dollars, and instead of $12.30 (excluding the 2bucks) he charged me $12. That makes it a GRAND TOTAL of $2.30 worth of discount. WOWIE!

Oh yes. Speaking about discounts. There was a 25% storewide discount for Giordano at wisma today! YAY! I bought $109.10 worth of clothes man. And I'm FINALLY A MEMBER!!

Rebecca gave me a totally nice white belt for my birthday. LOVE YOU!
She's totally weirder than her brother mann. Haha. Her brother is John Paul. I TOTALLY CANT BELIEVE IT.

Oh ya, during meeting. Hospi Team actually sang a Birthday Song for me. And I had two slices of wonderful chocolate cakde from Polar Puffs & Cakes. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! :D
What do you see yourself doing in 2007?

My answer was long. But to summarise it. I see myself very clearly as a FISHER OF MEN. And that I see myself helping people open up and moving from seekers of God to attenders of prayer meets and loving God.

I'm really glad that Hospitality team is already taking ownership of this group. We will be the frontliners who are "siao ons". We will be the team who will make Amplify feel like a second home to all in the ministry.

Mission of Hospitality Team: To Love Everyone.

Easier said than done. But I'm really thankful to God for fiving me a heart that's so willing to love. It's true. Sometimes I'm so amazed that I'm able to love at such a level. Thank you God.

What would I do without God's strenght? HE's been guiding me. And I would just love to lift everything I have up to him. This love is SO REAL.

You know how teenagers say "I'll wait forever" and they see another girl/guy and they don't keep to their word?

Well, God I'm telling you now, I WILL WAIT FOREVER. Even if the world crashes down and nothing ceases to exist. Just know that my love for YOU will never stop. It will exist forever. :D

Thank you Lord for giving me this strength to carry on and the joy that only YOU can bring.

Can't wait for the Old Folks thingy later at CSC. Catholic Spirituality Centre for all those who do not know what it is.

Why - Nicole Nordeman

Why - Nicole Nordeman
We rode into town the other day
Just me and my daddy
He said I'd finally reached that age
And I could ride next to him on a horse
That of course was not quite as wide
We heard a crowd of people shouting
And so we stopped to find out why
And there was that man that my dad said he loved
But today there was fear in his eyes
So I said daddy why are they screaming
Why are the faces of some of them beaming?
Why is he dressed in that bright purple robe?
I'll bet that crown hurts him more then he shows
Daddy please can't you do something?
He looks as though he's gonna cry
You said he was stronger then all of those guys
Daddy please tell me why?
Why does everyone want him to die?
Later that day the sky grew cloudy
And daddy said I should go inside
Somehow he knew things would get stormy
Boy was he right
But I could not keep from wondering
If there was something he had to hide
So after he left I had to find out
I was not afraid of getting lost
So I followed the crowds
To a hill where I knew men had been killed
And I heard a voice come from the cross
And it said father why are they screaming?
Why are the faces of some of them beaming?
Why are they casting their lots for my clothes?
This crown of thorns hurts me more then it shows
Father please can't you do something?
I know that you must hear my cry's
I thought I could handle a cross of this size
Father remind me why?
Why does everyone want me to die?
When will I understand why?
My precious son I hear them screaming
I'm watching the face of the enemy beaming
But soon I will clothe you in robes of my own
Jesus this hurts me much more then you know
But this dark hourI must do nothing
Though I've heard your unbearable cries
The power in your blood
Destroys all of the lies
Soon you'll see past their unmerciful lies
Look there below See the child
Trembling by her father's side
Now I can tell you why
She is why you must die

After listening to this song. I realised how much Christ suffered like us. We just have to accept it luh. I wanted to cry/tear. I was just simply touched.
We get to see another side of the Passion of Christ.

Soon, Christmas is coming.. Then later, we have lent.
And then later ,we have Christmas again. Every year during Christmas I tell myself that I would do something meaningful. However, I don't think that I have done that just yet...
The best feeling in the world is to know that I have made a difference.

I'm SUPER TIRED NOW.
Shall continue blogging in the morning.

Birthday.

Hello.
I'm finally 15. Yes. After a lot of shit I went through this year. I'm finally 15.

This is such a difficult age. We can't act too young for certain things, and we can't act too old for certain things.
AHHH.

Yeah.
I've learnt this most important lesson throughout the entire year:

Be SINCERE in EVERYTHING you do.
From making friends, to whatever you say, right down to PRAISING and LOVING OUR GOD.
:D

Thanks for the presents everyone!
PL <3, for her PINK SMARTIES and LOVELY birthday card. and the "Hansel and Gretel" book. :D
Amanda, for her pretty pencil case and Na-man-tha. :D
Eugene, for his SUPER NICE rubber band ball. Even my mom praised him for it. Haha. I think my mom is in love with Eugene. She keeps talking about him being cute. :S
Ian, for his CHINA bear.
Sean, for his lovely PINK PIGLETT PILLOW. I love piglett. Hah. Read his blog for his experience.
My aunt, for her nice pencil case and wallet.

Although this birthday has not been the best one. I've learnt a hell lot of things.
That a little action that I did not think much about (i.e. running away), has great consequences.
Oh well. I really do regret. But hey. That's life for me. Always learning.

And I'm glad God gave me the heart to be willing to learn.

*sigh*
Sometimes I wish I wasn't involved in all this shit.
Sometimes I wish I didn't know anyone.
Sometimes I wish I had a perfect family.

But hey.
Why look at all the things I dont have.
I should be looking at all the things I have.
Because...
For all the people who are better off than me, there are millions who have it worse than me.
People who probably don't even have an education like mine, people who don't have three square meals like me (I am totally grateful for my food btw. Unlike THOSE DIETERS WHO BUY SOME SUPER BIG BOWL OF FOOD AND THROW AWAY HALF.), and even people who don't have parents who are alive right now.

Alrights.
I've learnt a lot.
I hope that you readers do learn some stuff from this post.
Because you dont have SO MUCH TIME IN YOUR LIFE TO MAKE ALL THE MISTAKES IN THE WORLD TO LEARN FROM THEM ON YOUR OWN.
I think it's always wise to learn from others and make sure you don't commit the same mistake.
That's why we study History don't we?

And now the love is really one-sided.
