The Greatest Poverty.
"The most terrible poverty is lonliness and the feeling of being unloved."
"There is more hunger in the world for love and appreciation than for bread."
Mother Teresa said this. Even Josh Groban sings a similar message in his Album Awake, "You are Loved".
Don't give up
Because you want to burn bright
If darkness blinds you
I, I will shine to guide you
Everybody wants to be understood
Well I can hear you
Everybody wants to be loved
Well, what exactly is poverty?
Miss Chia said this in Geog class almost thrice.
"It is living on less than US$1 a day."
I started counting, and I thought I could do that.
But we have to consider electricity, water, transportation. We use all these as though they are free.
I need to start to be more conscious of what I use - so carelessly.
Another type of poverty pointed out by Mother Teresa.
ABORTION.
Hey friend. Don't do it.
"It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish."
Selfish eh?
=========
Got my report book today. Results are a lot better than I expected.
I owned my brother in almost everything.
But how to compare right? Different schools.
SMSS vs SJI.
16 vs 22 for L1R5. (:
Sec 3 vs Sec 1.
All rights. 16 ain't the best.
But considering that I lost myself somewhere in April. And I slacked from then on.
I didn't study much. I only study from 12mn to 2am.
2 hours a day. 4 days a week. For 2 weeks.
16 hours for the entire FINAL YEAR examination.
Remarks: "Nathalie has a cheerful and positive personality who is well-liked by her peers and teachers. She has worked hard and acheived good results. Keep up the good work!"
My 16 hours of study have paid off, and deceived my Form Teacher.
Conduct: Excellent.
FINALLY!
AMPLIFY MEETING!
